This Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust (H&MWT) reserve in the middle of the Ashridge Estate is one of the few remaining areas of chalk grassland in Hertfordshire. Over many years the group has worked to firstly enlarge the site by removing encroaching trees and secondly implement an annual mowing regime.

H&MWT have now chaged the management plan to put sheep on over the winter and stop the summer mowing, so we have stopped any practical work on this reserve.
